In 2008, Ambre traveled to
New York to record the music
of
outstanding
American
composer, Patrick Zimmerli
at the legendary Studio’s of
Rudy Van Gelder, working with
Producer Don Sickler and Van
Gelder himself.
In
March
(2011)
Ambre
collaborated
with
Vishwa
Mohan Bhatt, Indian legendary
slide guitarist who won a
Grammy for his album with Ry
Cooder. They united with their
unique and individual styles
playing a special one off fusion
concert at the Sydney Opera
House titled ‘Raag Beethoven’.
Ambre is the founder of
GIRL PIANO TRUCK (www.
girlpianotruck.com) The vision
of this long-term project involves
presenting concerts in remote
locations worldwide. Last year
Ambre launched the initial
phases of the project touring
throughout remote parts of
India, Thailand, East Timor and
Belarus giving concerts in varied
locations including schools and
orphanages. This project is to
be made into a documentary
for International release and
will include performances and
filming in outback Australia,
East Timor (June 2014) and
Africa (2015).
In June 2014 Ambre will play
Beethoven’s Concerto No.
5 ‘The Emperor’ with The
Metropolitan Orchestra (SarahGrace Williams conducting)
at the ABC Centre in Sydney,
Australia.

of Australia and the NSW
Foundation for National Parks
and Wildlife.
