The unit is powered by a CAT C13 Acert , 12.5 litre turbocharged and aftercooled engine , with six in-line cylinders and 475 hp , which is fuel efficient and available in Tier 3 / Stage IIIA and Tier 4 / Stage IVA versions .
It has a powerful hydraulic system , with Danfoss pumps and motors for track and front attachment drives .
The front attachments , made by FAE , provide high-quality operation as well as versatility . PT-475 can indeed be equipped with a variety of front attachments such forestry mulchers , soil stabilizers / subsoilers and rock crushers . Adapting the carrier is quick and easy so with a relatively modest investment operators can use the machine on different job sites .
The oscillating Berco D5HD undercarriage adapts perfectly to uneven surfaces . The track can be fitted with two types of shoes in two different widths – 600 mm ( 24 in ) as standard and 900 mm ( 36 in ) low ground pressure ( LGP ) version ( 0.33 kg / cm ²). Lower ground pressure also means less wear and tear and a longer working season in wet and swampy areas .
