“ We are now ramping up our production on the new Stenner line of MHS10 horizontal resaws with a vertical twin at the back ,” Brian Thomson , CEO of UK-based Thomson Sawmills stated .
“ This line gives us the flexibility we sought when we made the investment and we knew our volumes would improve when compared to our existing MHS9 line but didn ’ t realise by how much . We are producing in three days what the old system produced in five days “ Clearly we are delighted .” Export markets have been strong for a couple of years but the
recent Brexit announcement and the subsequent negative effect on the British pound has given the company added impetus . The Stenner order book has equipment destined for clients in Australia , Canada , France , Israel , New Zealand , Poland , the US as well as the UK and Ireland .
Whilst horizontal resaws are an important element in the Stenner portfolio , the centre cutting verticals in both single and twin format are selling very strongly alongside the traditional radial arm stand-alone pitless resaws such as the ST80 , ST100R and ST130 .

leading into 2017 and with this being a Ligna year we expect this to continue well into 2018 and , hopefully , beyond ,” commented Stenner Sales Director Fred Harding .
