“ With over 100 experienced , highly dedicated and motivated employees , we continue to show the world just how outstanding one company can be ,” the manufacturer stated . “ From humble beginnings , we now work from a 165,000-sq-ft manufacturing facility in Leeds , Alabama .
“ Our president Scott Smith is a second-generation innovator like his father , company founder and CEO Bob Smith . Together they have seen Precision go from a small regional provider to a worldwide leader in timber processing technology , with customers in 120 countries .”
“ Today , Bruks is one of the world ’ s leading manufacturers of mobile chippers . Our leadership is based not only on our renowned products but also on our service such as operator training , start-up assistance and extraordinary technical support .
“ We offer three different size of chipper today : our tractor driven 605 , our flexible and efficient 806 and our newest member in the chipper family , the powerful 1006 .” Bruks mobile chippers are either driven from its own diesel engine , directly from the truck engine or from an agriculture tractor . Our goal is to have a chipper for every need , with many opportunities and to be able to adapt it on any suitable carrier vehicle so it fits your requirements and makes you a more successful chip contractor .”
One of the company ’ s latest projects is a complete chipper unit , with its own engine , hydraulics and control systems and crane built onto a link trailer . There are many advantages for a self-supporting and compact unit like this .
“ The chipper we ’ ve chosen is the 1006 ST ,” Bruks began . “ This powerful chipper , equipped with a
Volvo Penta diesel engine with 565 kW ( 768 hp ), a closed Bruks drum with a diameter of 1,000 mm and a wide infeed has a chipping capacity of 200-350 m3 chips / h .
The chipper is mounted on swivel and allows therefor chipping from both sides . The long chip tube is adjustable in both height and sideways . A powerful crane with height adjustable cabin is installed .
The trailer can be disconnected from the truck ; a robust support wheel allows it to stand on its own . The whole unit is self-sufficient . As optional equipment , a hydraulic drive that makes it possible to move the whole unit is offered .
The link trailer allows further and it is possible to connect a trailer .
All this , combined with the proven high capacity of the 1006 ST provides a very versatile chipper .
Bruks has manufactured professional chippers for more than 50 years , accumulating experience in designing efficient wood chippers .
“ Demands from customers and from the industries are changing , and mobile chippers are used in a much wider range today ; either they are chipping in the forest , along the road or in big biomass terminal ,” the manufacturer stated . “ Bruks covers all demands contractors might have today .”
Bruks ’ mobile chippers are a time-tested concept combined with new innovative solution for the production of biofuels from renewable forest resources . Bruks mobile chippers and chipping systems “ revolutionize ” the energy harvesting process either in the forest or close by .
“ Here we produce chips with high density and a perfectly adapted size and high energy content ,” the manufacturer said .
The Bruks 1066 is powerful and versatile
