Kitchen Disco We all know the best people hang out in the kitchen at parties, so why not build on that theme and create an entire disco in there? If you’re feeling super creative you could even hang a glitter ball on the ceiling and invest in some colourful lights. If your budget won’t stretch that far and you’re not keen on converting your kitchen into a 'Studio 54' replica, then some great music and some even greater dance moves will see you through. This could be the perfect opportunity to teach your two-left-footed loved one how to boogie – or maybe it’s you that needs to brush up on your steps. Just have fun and go for it. Arts & Crafts Remember when you were a kid and you could spend hours creating? Colouring, sticking, glittering, folding; making all sorts of things that, whether you had any artistic talent or not, were fun to be involved with. Fast forward to now and what’s stopping you from doing it all again? Spread newspaper out all over the floor or table, gather together paints, pencils, felt, card, tissue paper, old material, pipe cleaners and anything else you might want to make use of, and make something beautiful. Making something between you will make the time even more special. Failing that, find an adult colouring book and contentedly colour away - they’re all the rage these days. Massage Everyone seems to rushed these days; everyone seems so stressed out and short fused, for which a massage - done right - can work wonders. With lovely low lighting, a comfortable sofa (or the floor, or bed), and some essential oils, a massage can be a really sensual home date. Do your research first, though – you want to get it right and not cause any damage. And make sure your partner reciprocates, so you’re both left feeling blissed out and free of stress (for one night at least).
