The Giant’s Loo Roll
// 1 Jun
Look out for the biggest
loo roll ever on stage in
this GIANT of a children’s
musical. The villagers living
in the town below the
giant’s house had better
watch out, that loo roll
has gone bouncing down
the hill and straight towards them! Luckily, the townsfolk find lots of
uses for runaway loo paper – one sheet provides a huge canvas for
an artist; a tailor uses another to fill her shop with paper pants; and
a school class makes a huge dart that can fly. But what about the
giant himself – doesn’t he need any loo paper? The townspeople have
an answer for that too! Watch out for some frightened sheep, lots
of excited children and a fantastic amount of toilet paper in this riproaring new musical by TaleGate Theatre Productions.

The Wine & Spirit Education
Trust (WSET) Food & Wine
Pairing Sessions // 1 Jun
As part of this year’s Festival of
Learning, leading wine education
body, the Wine & Spirit Education Trust
(WSET), will be hosting a series of food
and wine pairing taster sessions at Côte Brasseries around the country
in June, kicking off in Brighton on June 1st. The taster sessions will take
place in six UK cities, inviting wine lovers to brush up on their knowledge
over a glass or two. Providing a sneak peek of what to expect from a
Level One or Two WSET course, guests will leave feeling more confident
about their next encounter with a restaurant wine list or supermarket aisle.
Practical skills, such as what to look for in a grape variety and which wines
pair with different foods will be covered, as will the basics of how to taste.
Project Oggbots // 2-3 Jun
A UFO has crashed over Crawley and your help is needed to save
them from the Agents in Black. Expect robots, aliens and mystery in
this galactic adventure for ages 7–12 and their grownups! Meet in The
Hawth foyer where you will build your very own robot, then join an
award-winning, treasure hunt-style performance through the streets of
the town, piecing together clues and meeting characters along the way.
You’ll have to avoid being caught by shady government agents as you
make your way to the mothership for a close encounter of the robotic

home your very own little robot. Performances begin every 15 minutes in
The Hawth foyer (except between 12.15-1.15pm) and each adventure
has a strictly limited capacity. Project Oggbots is an immersive, outdoor
experience so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for the weather.
