‘PARTY AT THE RACES’ BOUTIQUE MUSIC EVENT LAUNCHES
AT BRIGHTON RACECOURSE
On Saturday 1st October 2016, a brand new
dance music extravaganza, ‘Party At The
Races’, takes place at Brighton Racecourse.
The exceptional location, with views across
Brighton city and coastline, will host a unique
carnival of dance music and entertainment,
including virtual horse racing. Party At The
Races offers a mix of daytime dancing and
nighttime clubbing with some of the world’s
biggest artists performing across three stages.
With tickets starting at £16 for an incredible 14
hours of quality music from 1pm to 3am, the
event is all set to sign off another big summer
of dance music in style.
With the first DJs and live acts announced
last month, Party At The Races is set to be
a celebration of dance music and revelry like
nothing else that’s gone before. Party people
are invited to dress up for a day, or show off
their best and brightest jockey outfits ready to
enjoy virtual horse racing projected onto the
big screens both outside and inside on the
grandstand TVs. Alongside a mix of thundering
hooves and booming basslines, visitors can
also check out a vintage funfair, a range of
gourmet food stalls, cocktail bars and mindblowing, state-of-the-art production across the
various stages.
Every ticket holder will have an amazing
experience, but for those who want something
extra, Party At The Races is also offering
some fantastic VIP options. VIP ticket holders
can watch from the Jockey Club Marquee as
the action unfolds from a raised stage area,
right next to the main stage. Also on offer are
award-winning cocktails and a private VIP bar
with the hottest tropical house tunes and TV
screens to keep an eye on the party.
Party At The Races will offer free car parking
and a free bus service from Brighton train
station for the five-minute journey to the
racecourse. General tickets are on sale now at
www.partyattheraces.com.
‘INVISIBLE DOG’ IS RESCUE CENTRE MARVEL
Forget X Men, it’s all about Rex Men at Dogs Trust Shoreham. The
rehoming centre has nicknamed one of its four-legged residents
‘Nightpawler’ - after the superhero character with a knack for transporting
himself into the shadows - because he is continually going unnoticed by
potential adopters.
showcase his playful nature, Samuel has remained in the shadow of his
fellow residents and staff are flummoxed as to why.
Tracey Rae, rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Shoreham, said:
“Samuel is a happy, friendly boy who loves meeting new people so it’s
baffling that despite our very best efforts, people just aren’t drawn to him.
We’ve tried absolutely everything, but it’s as if he has an invisible shield
around him. We thought that by nicknaming him after the Nightcrawler
we might be able to attract potential owners to come along, meet him
and find out what a lovely dog he really is, as it’s a marvel that he hasn’t
found a new home yet.”
Eighteen-month old Labrador cross, Samuel, is known to staff at the
Sussex-based rehoming centre as the ‘invisible dog’ because, since
arriving at the rehoming centre earlier this year, he has been overlooked
by hundreds of potential owners. In fact, it’s estimated that during his
stay, nearly 1,000 people have passed the loveable hound by without so
much as a glance toward his kennel.
