Woolbeding Gardens
Nestled in a quiet corner of West Sussex lies this true horticultural haven
bursting with colourful planting, sensational views and a whole host of
surprises. Woolbeding delights at every turn with distinctive garden rooms
set against thoughtfully composed borders and formal gardens merging
into the far-reaching rural landscape of the River Rother.
Rother College Community Day // Apr
Agencies and businesses presenting their goods; performers singing and
entertaining; delicious treats to taste and buy; fitness demonstrations;
and a fantastic inflatable assault course provided by the army.
Madhurst // Aug
The Midhurst Music, Arts and Drama Festival (MADhurst) is a community
event that brings together the local creative, artistic and musical talent.
Midhurst Museum
This fascinating and well-run museum is small (probably the smallest
museum in the world!), but perfectly formed, and offers an in-depth
insight into the town and its history with a new theme introduced each
month.
Black Tie Day // Nov
An annual shopping event in which the shop staff dress up in their finest
black tie clothes in order to give their customers a magnificent shopping
experience.
Cowdray House
Cowdray is considered to be one of England’s most important early Tudor
houses, and its ruins are able to be visited. Although partially destroyed
by fire in 1793, it’s still possible to see the stunning architecture.
Christmas Fair // Dec
The annual Christmas fair is held in the local leisure centre and offers
buyers the chance to buy unique, local and often handmade items.
Father Christmas always makes an appearance to the delight of the little
ones
