Top Summer Drinks from
Sussex
With so much great produce growing in Sussex, and so much innovation
within our community, it’s little wonder that a wealth of exciting drinks’
producers have sprung up over the last few years, allowing us new taste
experiences and to try flavours we might never have considered before. From
juice to pop to beer, wine, and spirits, Sussex has it all, and here are some of
our favourites to enjoy this summer.
Gran Stead’s Ginger Co

From humble beginnings over 20 years ago,
Gran Stead’s Ginger Co has grown rapidly, and
now offers its non-alcoholic ginger beer drinks
across the county and beyond. The original
recipe dates back 150 years, and is all down
to a woman named Christina Stead (known as
Granny), who came up with a delicious drink
that is still made today: Mellow Ginger. But
there’s more than that in the range now, and
varieties include Fiery Ginger, Still Lemonade,
Lemonade with Zing, and Blackcurrant with
Zing.
Wobblegate // www.wobblegate.co.uk
This family-run business was established in
2009, and has gone on to perform brilliantly.
Bottling only the best Sussex fruit from their
stunning farm in the middle of the South
Downs, there are no added sugars or
preservatives to be found here; it’s all natural,
all good. Juice varieties include Cox, Bramley,
Russet, and Braeburn amongst others.
