THE BRASSERIE ON THE BAY IS A CONTEMPORARY MODERN RESTAURANT LOCATED IN THE SPECTACULAR SETTING OF PRINCE ’ S GOLF CLUB , AND IS ADJACENT TO THE FAMOUS CHAMPIONSHIP LINKS GOLF COURSE . THE RESTAURANT , WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE LODGE , HOLDS A COVETED 2AA ROSETTE AWARD AND OVERLOOKS THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF SANDWICH BAY AND THE NATIONAL NATURE RESERVES OF PEGWELL . GUESTS CAN ALSO STAY OVERNIGHT IN THE LODGE , WHICH HAS 38 SPACIOUS ENSUITE BEDROOMS INCLUDING TWO PREMIUM LAVISH BAY AND LINKS SUITES . ALL ROOMS HAVE BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF EITHER THE BAY OR THE GOLF COURSE .
The Brasserie on the Bay ’ s head chef Ricky Smith prides himself on providing high-quality locally sourced food , to produce his creative and appealing menus , which change to accommodate the new seasons . A speciality that features on the winter-inspired menu is braised shin of beef with truffle pomme pureé , caramelised shallot , and cured pancetta with nasturtium and veal jus . Ricky Smith is local to the area and has worked at The Brasserie on The Bay for three years , and throughout his time has held a 2AA Rosette Award . Ricky has been in the industry since he was fifteen years old , working in Churchill ’ s Hotel on Dover seafront , having then moved onto working with some of Kent ’ s best chefs . Ricky says : “ My favourite chef to work with would have to be Charlie Lakin ; with him I learned to forage and how to present clean flavours .”
Whilst you dine in the Brasserie and enjoy the wonderful views across the golf course you will delight in the creative Tasting Menu that Ricky has developed , to suite the taste buds for autumn and winter . Dishes include Crown Prince squash gnocchi , pan seared scallops , buttermilk sorbet , Chart Farm venison cannon , and apricot soufflé .
The Lodge is also hosting special Valentine ’ s Dining Nights on Sunday 12th and 19th February , which includes canapés and petit fours ( 2 courses for £ 25.00 and 3 courses for £ 32.50 ). Diners can enjoy their homemade canapés in the comfort of the lodge lounge , sitting in front of the log burner before heading into the restaurant to enjoy their luxury well-presented dinner . Why not treat your valentine and stay overnight when dining for an extra £ 40 per person ; there will be a delightful Kentish breakfast to enjoy in the morning featuring locally sourced sausages and bacon from Preston Butchers .
