Be warned – this is a very immersive little hobby to get into … Our arcade machine now resides on a giant flat screen TV , and has a real arcade controller complete with nobbly joysticks and big bashable buttons and is usually being played on by the kids and all their friends .
A smarter dumb TV !
By adding a Raspberry Pi to your old ( er ) -school television , you ’ ll be able to turn it into a pseudo- SmartTV very cheaply , quickly and easily . There are a range of operating systems for the Pi – some more complex to install and use than others – but it doesn ’ t take a degree in rocket science to install Raspian or Noobs , and then enable web browsing , media playing etc in the front room . You could even use a wireless keyboard and mouse , so you can surf in style from your sofa .
