EDUCATION IN ASSOCIATION WITH Claremont School: The Benefits of Boarding Claremont School’s boarding house is located in the centre of Battle and in September 2016 will be home to some 48 students from the UK and further afield. Selecting a small, international cohort to attend Claremont represents a genuine opportunity for local children to expand their knowledge of other countries and to make new friends from around the world. Boarders, both international and UKbased, benefit from the structure we offer which, for many parents, is sometimes difficult to provide alongside busy professional lives. Boarding adds another positive aspect to Claremont School in an incredibly successful year in which it was rated Ofsted Outstanding in every category and was placed first in the county on the GCSE performance league tables. Giles Perrin, Principal, adds: "The whole boarding experience will enable our pupils to develop independence, a responsible attitude and gain essential life-skills that will help them to make a success of university and the world beyond." Claremont School admits pupils from age 1 to 18, with boarders starting from age 11, and offers weekly and full boarding options according to availability. Students who will make our boarding house their home in September 2016 will represent countries such as: Spain; China; Germany; Nigeria; Russia; France; India; Saudi Arabia; Russia; Poland; Latvia and Japan. Claremont's Ofsted report emphasises that the school provides an exemplary quality of education and unrivalled pastoral care. Students 138 who choose to board will find themselves part of an incredibly supportive family; a home away from home in the heart of Sussex.
