EDUCATION
IN ASSOCIATION WITH
Proud to be a Dukie
The Duke of York’s Royal Military School is a full
and weekly state boarding school where students
aged 11 to 18 can gain a quality education at an
affordable price.
Our distinct military ethos and core values are
what stands us apart from other schools, as a
unique and iconic place to study for GCSEs and
A Levels, in a friendly and supportive community.
Performing Arts Showcase
This year's Grand Day Production didn't
disappoint. There were a variety of acts including
music, dance, choir and a stage duologue.
Children don’t have to come from a military family
to study at our school, and there is no expectation
for them to go into the forces when they leave
us. Over 80% of our Sixth Form students go onto
University to study a variety of subjects.
Sportsmanship at its best
The Inter-house Athletics video on our home
page (www.doyrms.com) reflects the excitement
of the day.
Our Dukies love a challenge!
Our School regularly challenges our students –
whether they are competing on the new running
track, performing dance routines on the big
stage or proudly representing their school on
Grand Day.
Trooping the Colour
HRH The Duke of Kent was guest of honour and
Inspecting Officer at the School’s annual Grand
Day celebrations in which students performed a
Trooping the Colour ceremony.

Going for Gold
Dukies have spent a week in the Brecon Beacons
for their Gold DofE Expedition. They trekked for
four days and camped for three nights,
experiencing some fantastic views along the way.
We are delighted to be welcoming children from
Kent, Sussex and London into our school
community next term.
Come along and find out more about us. Our
next Open Morning is on Saturday 8th October.
