As part of Toyota’s commitment to democratise
advanced safety equipment, Toyota Safety
Sense is standard across the range. It includes
a Pre-Collision System (including Pedestrian
Detection), Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane
Departure Alert with steering control, Automatic
High Beam and Road Sign Assist (not available
on the entry grade). At night, the Toyota C-HR
logo is projected on the floor every time you
open the driver’s door, so you can see and be
seen.
The Toyota C-HR is equipped with an engine
range designed to deliver exactly the fluent,
engaging driving behaviour its customers are
looking for.
Fitted with the latest-generation hybrid power
plant, the C-HR generates CO2 emissions
from as low as 85g/km, a figure unrivalled
within its segment. The official combined cycle
fuel consumption figure is from 76.3mpg. The
120bhp (90kW) hybrid powertrain is not only
more efficient and lighter than Toyota’s previous
generation system, but also offers sharper
performance.

The C-HR is also available with the 1.2-litre
turbo petrol engine, which debuted in the Auris
range last year. Delivering 114bhp (85kW)
185Nm of torque, this unit generates CO2
emissions from 135g/km.

Higher grade customers will be able to specify
heated seats, a smart entry system, privacy
glass, bespoke upholstery including partial
leather seats, Toyota’s S-IPA intelligent parkassist system, 18-inch alloy wheels and bi-tone
metallic paintwork. The new C-HR can also
be specified with a tailor-made JBL premium
audio system comprising an eight-channel,
576-Watt stereo amplifier and nine speakers,
including two newly patented acoustic JBL
wave guides, known as horn tweeters.

Within the C-HR range, the interior will be
available in a choice of three colour schemes:
Dark Grey, Black/Blue and Black/Brown,
depending on specification and grade chosen.
Pre-sales will begin in the UK and throughout
Europe in Autumn 2016, with the first deliveries
to customers at the start of 2017.
