Enjoy a Summer of Family Fun
at Hever Castle
Visit Hever Castle & Gardens in Kent this summer to
enjoy an entertaining programme of events and activities
set amidst award-winning gardens.
The brave Knights of Royal England return to
battle it out in the Jousting arena, with jousts
taking place on July 16th & 17th; 23rd & 24th;
30th & 31st, and August 13th & 14th; 20th &
21st and 26th – 29th. Spectators will be treated
to exhilarating displays as the valiant knights
compete for points riding the quintain, spearing
heads, and lancing rings followed by foot combat
with weapons of their choice.
Learn how to dress a knight at the ‘Medieval
Weekend with Jousting’ on 23rd and 24th July
and enjoy dressing up in fabric costumes as worn
by the Yeoman class. See demonstrations of foot
combat between men at arms, and witness more
thrills and spills in the jousting tournaments.
Experience Tudor life at ‘Tudor Living and
Jousting’ over the August bank holiday weekend
(27th-29th August), and wander among the tents
in the Tudor encampment. Cheer as teams of

archers compete against each other to prove
their prowess, then head to the jousting arena
to support your chosen knights as they compete
for victory.
Enjoy a weekend dedicated to our canine friends
on 6th and 7th August at ‘Paws at the Castle’.
With informative displays and entertainment on
offer, you can also enter your four-legged friend
in a dog show, complete with rosettes for the
winners in each category.
Other attractions to enjoy over the summer
holidays include the Water Maze, 100-year old
Yew Maze and Lake Walk. Kids can let off steam
in the Adventure Playground and there’s ‘Havea-Go’ Archery* and boating* on the 38-acre lake
as well as trips on the African Queen Steam
Boat*.
