Kent Adult Education is the heart of adult learning in Kent. As
the largest provider they have had almost 20,000 people enjoy
a course over the last academic year.
With over 4,000 courses for you to enrol upon,
Kent Adult Education really does have a course
that’s perfect for you. The courses run from
Monday to Saturday at various times of day from
morning to as late as 9.30pm in the evening.
They want everyone to find a new hobby, learn
a new skill, get fit, get creative and to have fun
on the courses.
With 15 dedicated adult education centres across
the county from Tunbridge Wells to Dover and
Folkestone to Dartford, there are courses that
are local to you and convenient for you to get to
with many of the centres in the middle of the
town. Plus Kent Adult Education works with
around 100 other locations such as village halls,
libraries and schools to make sure we have the
perfect environment and location for everyone in
Kent.
Courses are available in a range of subjects too:
arts, craft, business, general studies, GCSEs,
health & fitness, language, personal development
and photography and computing. Ranging from
free tasters to accredited courses, whether you

are a beginner or someone who wants to excel
with an advanced course, there is a course that’s
at the right level for you to flourish.
One of the biggest misconceptions is that potential
learners think that courses will be too expensive
to join. Kent Adult Education offers a range of
‘pay as you go’ fitness courses that start from
£5 per session and there is no obligation to turn
up every week. The half-day courses can be as
little as £25 and full-day Saturday courses are
£50; these even usually include materials too!
Plus if your course is £70 or more they offer the
ability for you to pay a 25% deposit and pay the
rest in instalments so it really is easier than you
think to enrol and enjoy adult learning.
For the past two years, Kent Adult Education has
scored 9/10 for customer satisfaction. Not only
do they think their courses and teaching are
fantastic, but the students do too! Here’s what
