Ann Welch will exhibit new work in oil, watercolour and fresco at Creek
Creative Gallery in Faversham from 5th-17th April. The show is called Ithaka,
and is inspired by Cavafy’s revelatory poem of the same name, with its
allusions to the travels of Odysseus and to the journey of life itself. The
images on view reflect the Greek hero’s ports of call as well as those of the
artist, and, most notably, of others seeking a better life over the wine-dark
seas of the Aegean.
From 10am. Price: Free (donations will be gratefully received to aid
voluntary relief efforts on the island of Lesbos)
