Sandwich Auction Room now hosts its
monthly auctions in the magnificent venue of St.
Mary’s Arts Centre that offers unparalleled spaces
and facilities to showcase the breadth and wealth
of items up for auction. It is easily accessible by
car and other means of transport and brings to
life this unique historical building that perfectly
fits in with the ethos, culture and tradition of
Sandwich Auction Room and the town.

Formerly Hogbins, running both the Cattle Market
selling live stock in the centre of the town and
an Antiques and Household Goods Auction, it
then became Halifax through the 1980s and
1990s. In 2004 it was revamped as Sandwich
Auction Room continuing the tradition of an
auction in the town, specialising in antiques and
collectables. Kevin Hall and his staff offer a full
range of auctioneering services at extremely
reasonable rates. Their well-attended monthly
auctions attract people from all over Kent and
the South East looking for that illusive bargain.
Over the years Sandwich Auction Room
has established links with major international
auctioneers, securing maximum exposure within
the international market. For this reason their
items always secure maximum prices. For years
now, Sandwich Auction Room has firmly
established Sandwich as a hub of antiques and
collectibles and attracts to the town visitors from
all over the country due to the reputation it enjoys.
In November 2013, Sandwich Auction
Room featured in the BBC Antiques Road Trip
that showcased the work they do, services they
offer and the historic beauty of the town. The

The auctions take place on the second
Wednesday of every month from 10am and the
dates for 2016 are as follows: 9 March, 13 April,
11 May, 8 June, 13 July, 10 August, 14
September, 12 October, 9 November and 14
December. Viewings of items on offer are always
on Tuesdays, before each auction date, from
9am-4pm again at St. Mary’s Arts Centre.
