TOM JONES ANNOUNCES FOREST LIVE DATES
Tom Jones has announced shows as part of
Forest Live, the summer concert series promoted
by the Forestry Commission.
Tom Jones’ remarkable career has gone from
strength to strength. Along with sustaining his
popularity as a live performer and recording artist
for over five decades, he has garnered the best
reviews of his career for his recently released
albums Spirit In The Room and Praise & Blame.
In the latter part of 2015, Tom released his first
ever autobiography entitled Over The Top And
Back and the book’s companion soundtrack
entitled Long Lost Suitcase.
Sir Tom is indeed a living legend, one of the few
musical artists whose profession began at the
dawn of modern popular music and who
continues to have a vital recording and performing
career to this day. His irresistible show traverses
musical eras and genres, cuts across class
divides, appealing to young and old, male and
female, mainstream and cutting edge.
Commenting on the dates, Tom Jones said,
“What a lovely experience this is going to be. I
respect and admire the whole idea of Forest Live
and hope you can join me to be a part of it.”
Forest Live is an independent programme
organised by the Forestry Commission to bring
forests to new audiences. Income generated
from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving
and expanding England’s forests and woodlands
and increasing their value to people and wildlife.
Over Forest Live’s 15 years history, money raised
has contributed to a wide range of projects, from
wildlife conservation to making improvements for
visitors. With everything required for a great night
out, including full catering and bar facilities, the
gigs are renowned for their relaxed atmosphere.
