Ramsgate Blitz Walk // 3 January
Participate in a guided walk around the heaviest bombed seaside town in
the UK. Relive the dark days of WWII, hear stories of ordinary people on
the front line and visit the places connected with those stories.The walk will
take between 2-2.5 hours and start from Ramsgate Library at 10am. Free,
but donations welcome.

Brilliant British Birds, Powell-Cotton
Museum // 16 to 19 February
The Powell-Cotton Museum, House and
Gardens bring together amazing
collections, a stunning house and
beautiful gardens in one impressive
location. It is part of Quex Park,
Birchington, and is one of the UK’s most
fascinating visitor attractions.
Visit from 16 to 19 February to discover all the amazing British birds
living in the museum’s gardens. As part of National Nest Box week, you
will not only explore the gardens but also make your very own wooden bird
nest box to take home.
There are many other attractions at Quex Park to enjoy too, including
a craft village, indoor children’s playground, outdoor activities, secret garden,
restaurant, boutique café and farm shop, plus free onsite parking – you
could easily spend a whole day here.

Cliftonville Farmers' Market is
located on the cliff top with
wonderful sea views. If you feel
energetic before or after the
market, there are some great
cliff top walks. At the market you
will find speciality pies, artisan
breads, vegetarian slices, luxury marshmallows, wild game, Russian food,
Hungarian specialities, smoked fish, meat and vegetable, Sri Lankan curries,
exotic meats, plants, saplings and more.

Broadstairs Blues Bash

Now in its 8th year, Broadstairs Blues Bash
offers over 40 free quality bands playing at
small intimate wine bars, friendly pubs and
bars and larger pubs throughout the town.
Plus there are two huge ticketed headline
acts: The Blues Band and Nine Below Zero
with their support act The Dove and Boweavil
Band. So if you are a fan of old Blues, new
Blues or just Great Blues, this festival is definitely one not to miss.
