Armistice Day Service // Nov The Armistice Day Service with the Royal British Legion takes place at St Mildred’s Church on 11th November each year. There is a church service to mark Armistice Day, and to remember those who served their country, and died in doing so. Lest we forget. Tenterden Folk Festival // Oct Fast becoming one of the premier folk festivals in the South East with three days of fun, music, dancing and entertainment from groups and artists from across the country and further afield – normally held on the first weekend in October. The Tenterden Nativity // Nov The Tenterden Nativity tells the traditional Christmas story, giving it a local twist. The Tenterden Nativity reflects a variety of musical styles: classical, baroque, romantic and modern. Well-known carols are woven into the new material, giving audiences plenty of opportunity to sing their way into the Christmas spirit. top spot Tentertainment // June or July One of Kent’s biggest and best free summertime music and local food events held every summer on the Recreation Ground. This amazing weekend event showcases the very best of local music and talent with plenty of local produce and products available. 135 Tenterden Museum itself is impressive and important, and that’s without even stepping inside. The museum is housed in a two-storey house, which is one of the last of its kind, having the white weather boarding on the outside. Even since 1976, Tenterden Museum has been open, run by volunteers, so that locals and visitors alike can find out more about the town, its history, and its future. did you know?
