Nothing makes me happier than the warmth and excitement that
Christmas brings. I especially love the fact that ‘LBD’ (little black dress)
season is upon us. Office parties, family get-togethers or cosy nights
at the local pub; whatever the occasion, there is no better time to
throw on your glad rags and give yourself a festive makeover.
How to create a classic eye
makeup look…
The Perfect Shadow
• Prep the eyelid using a good primer;
I recommend Urban Decay Eye
Primer Potion.
• Start by using a light coloured
eyeshadow (Urban Decay Booty Call
from the Naked 2 pallet or Actiderm
Champagne Twinkle) and pat this
over the eyelid using your eyeshadow
shader.
• Select a darker shade – this could
be a soft brown, grey or even black,
depending on the intensity of colour
you would like to achieve. Now using
an eyeshadow blending brush,
sweep your chosen shade into your
socket line (the deep area just above
your eyelid), the more you blend, the
better the result.
• I love white pencil liner in the lower
waterline. This looks particularly
gorgeous against blue or green eyes
– the white liner creates the illusion
of a larger, much brighter eye.
• Using a pencil brush or even a cotton
bud, buff a little of your darker
shadow along the lower lash line to
create a very soft smoky look.
