PROPERTY Ward Homes wins award in national housebuilding competition A site manager working for local housebuilder, Ward homes, has scooped a prestigious award in a national competition to find the bestrun building sites in Britain. Glenn Day who works at Sholden Fields in Deal gained official recognition for the excellence in which he runs his development with a Pride in the Job Quality Award. The awards are the only UK-wide competition dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in housebuilding. It has been instrumental in driving up the quality of new homes for 35 years. The awards, which are the most coveted in the housebuilding industry, are bestowed after the construction standard setting body National House-Building Council (NHBC) carries out a series of spot check site inspections to select the best-organised and best-quality housing developments. Thousands of site managers throughout the UK were judged on every aspect of their job, including technical skill, quality workmanship, customer service and site safety. “The site manager plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality new homes that we can be proud of, and that is why we are so delighted with these two national awards. Ward Homes' managing director, Mark Bailey, said: “This official recognition of our site manager’s dedication and hard work shows that Ward Homes is building some of the best quality homes in the country. “This is truly an outstanding result and one which should inspire confidence in our buyers.” www.wardhomes.co.uk Kent holiday rentals sought after as UK demand for holiday homes at an all time high Ramsgate Leeds Castle Log Cabin Following Lonely Planet’s annou
