DAYSOUT 2-FOR-1 OFFERS AT LOCAL ATTRACTIONS THIS SUMMER WITH Stagecoach With the summer holidays in full swing, local bus company Stagecoach is offering great deals on days trips to its customers. The company has teamed up with local attractions to provide special offers at 30 top Kent destinations if people travel there by bus. Stagecoach says the promotion aims to encourage more people onto buses to not only take away the hassle and stress of battling through traffic and searching for a parking space, but also for them to take advantage of bargain day trips. The company’s Big Bus Guide is available now and details all the venues that offer special discounts to bus passengers. The wide range of attractions means there is something to suit everyone. For the adventurous, there are buyone-get-one-free surf lessons, paintball or laser tag games; history buffs can take advantage of discounted entry to several Kent castles and museums; whilst animal lovers can go wild with 2-for-1 entry at the Aspinall animal parks and Wildwood near Canterbury. Those travelling to attractions in Canterbury or Folkestone can also get ‘a touch of gold’ on their journey if they use the bus company’s luxury Stagecoach Gold service. Stagecoach Gold was launched last year with promises of a gold standard of bus travel. The service, which connects Folkestone and Hythe with Canterbury, has been very well received and has seen a 109 significant increase in passengers travelling on the route. So what’s so special about Stagecoach Gold? The company spent £2 million on highspecification vehicles for the route, complete with free Wi-Fi, specially selected drivers behind the wheel, extra legroom, and Italian-designed, highback leather seats. The interior of Stagecoach Gold buses is also more luxurious with softer, noise-reducing blue moquette fabric and subdued lighting. A customer charter was also produced, outlining the high standards every passenger should expect from the moment they step onboard until they reach their destination. Even the bus engines are of a much higher specification than the vehicles they replaced, greatly reducing the environmental impact of the service.
