Girlfriends – every girl needs good ones,
and with my Glastonbury blues taking
hold massively this year, I couldn’t be
more grateful for mine. They’ve organised
a day at the races for my birthday! I
haven’t got the faintest idea how horse
racing works, but I know it involves
bubbly and a new outfit. Enough said!
The conundrum however, is do I opt for
comfortable but classy or go all out for
head turning extravagance (knowing that
I’ll have to hold my tummy in for most
of the day)? I’m currently down to a
choice of three dresses; I’m going to have
to try them on and decide at the weekend.

Dom’s very kindly offered to take me out for dinner in
the evening, so I’ve got to a) find a dress that is perfect
for a daytime-to-evening transition; and b) not get
too excited at the races and peak too soon (common
occurrence unfortunately). Mum wants to take me for
lunch at Bluewater on the Sunday after my birthday,
so I’m currently choosing between Tapas Revolution
