I went shopping for Father’s Day on Saturday and
I feel like Bluewater’s new Kiddie Karts have changed
my shopping-with-kids experience forever! Ella
loved it so much and it meant I didn’t have to worry
about her getting tired or keeping her entertained
because it felt like a big adventure for her; she even
got the blue car she wanted, so there were no
tantrums over it being ‘too girly’! We were shopping
for a good few hours and she was such a good girl.
I managed to get all the bits I needed for Dom and
my Dad in one trip, which I feel is an achievement
with a three year old..!

Dom’s been getting really into his art lately so I got
him this incredible print for the wall in his study.
He’s wanted something for the wall in there for
ages, but for some reason I think he feels bad
spending money on himself so I thought it’d be
nice to get it from the kids. Hopefully the clock will
remind him to hurry up with his work and come
and spend time with me! I was actually tempted to
get my Dad one as well; he’s always loved art, but
mum and dad's walls are fairly covered already, so
I got him a mini portable digital radio instead. He
loves pottering about in the garden and his
greenhouse, so I thought it’d be nice for him to
have some music out there.
Loads of the girls are going to Glastonbury again
this year and I’m so sad that I’m not going! We’ve
been most years since we were about 16, but last
year it was such a washout I swore it would be my
last one; now I’m wishing I’d tried to get tickets!
They keep talking about the line-up and planning
different fancy dress for different nights – I secretly
hope it rains all weekend so I don’t feel like I’m
missing out too much, but knowing my luck it’ll be
a scorcher!
Oh well, at least I have my birthday to look forward
to next month. I already have my eye on some
dresses, so Dom had better be planning something
sensational!
