Café Nucleus

Café Nucleus offers an oasis on the High Street, where you will be welcomed
with a warm smile, a great atmosphere, and good service. Its cafés are a
haven to sit back, relax and unwind – whether you choose to sip on Champagne
or enjoy a delicious coffee amid the delightful works of art. Not only does
every Café Nucleus branch serve delicious coffee, they each help to promote
the arts in Kent and the South East.
A coffee is not just a coffee… At Café Nucleus,
it’s an experience! From field, boat, herd or flock,
Café Nucleus works with its suppliers and supply
chain to ensure it delivers the very best produce
from traceable origins. Working with local
suppliers, it sources some fantastic products
including vegan cakes from Peck & Strong in
rural Devon, fantastic local salad from Laurence
J Petts in West Malling, scrumptious Nutbourne
Nursery heritage tomatoes grown in West Sussex,
and much more. Its licensed cafés are currently
championing a selection of local wines from Kentbased Biddenden Vineyards and Chapel Down
Winery too.

Café Nucleus now serves Peroni Nastro Azzuro
on draught at both cafés in Chatham and in
Maidstone.

Each of Nucleus' continental cafés has is unique
personality and is tailored to its local community
and Nucleus’ artists. The flagship café (at the
Nucleus Arts Centre, 272 High Street, Chatham)
is fully licensed and has a truly European feel
with its large courtyard, Mediterranean-esque
gardens, relaxing, yet upbeat background music,
and comfortable rattan sofas. It also has two
further terraces with tables and chairs, which
allows plenty of room for the summer months.
