Abisko Wash Basin
The Butterfly Coffee Table
by Zanotta and designed
by Alexander Taylor is a
gorgeous piece of artistic
flair that will be the
centrepiece of any living
room. The frame is
plywood bent to form the
shape of stylised
butterflies’ wings, and then veneered in either bold black or warmer white
painted oak. There is a movement and fluidity to this piece that brings about
a sense of calmness and serenity – ideal for placing in a room used to relax
in after a hard day.

Alessi Blow Up Wall Clock
by Fratelli Campana
Boasting chrome-plated steel with
contrasting red minute and hour hands,
this battery-operated clock is the ideal arty
addition to any home. Designed by the
Camana brothers, its playful form is created
by shapes and spaces generated by the
steel rods put together almost at random.

Swedish designer, Johan Kauppi’s, idea behind this imaginative and unique
basin was nature. Purely nature. The way that water flows in a stream or
river until it reaches a waterfall and then cascades downwards, giving light
and life to everything around it – that was what he wanted to create in the
home. There are no pipes required with his basin; rather the marble is
shaped to create a slope that will then transport the wastewater away.

People Will Always Need…
What’s your favourite decade? Perhaps
the 60s, with its flower power and floating
fashions, maybe the 80s when punk
was rock ‘n’ roll, or maybe it was the
00s, when design and functionality
melded. Whichever it was, you can now
enjoy a celebration of British buildings
and architecture from the period on
these striking mugs, side plates, dinner
plates, eggcups, platters, and more from
Hannah Dipper and Robin Farquhar. The
People Will Always Need… range is
colourful and unusual, and will remind you of times gone by whilst remaining
completely up to date.
