See what I mean? It's Mother’s Day and I haven’t even
thought about what I want! The kids usually make
their gifts, which is always sweet, but Dom likes to
get me something special to say ‘thanks’, but I can’t
even give him hints this year as I’m clueless. Oooh,
maybe some new earrings would be nice. He hasn’t
bought me jewellery in ages and this pair from
Mappin & Webb really caught my eye the last time I
was at Bluewater—It's our 10 year anniversary after
all! Failing that, he couldn’t go wrong with a gift card
for me either, now I think of it! We’re going away next
month and I could do with refreshing my holiday
wardrobe – new day dresses and some new bikinis!

Just the thought of being in a bikini is horrifying at
the minute; I caught a glimpse of myself in the
bathroom mirror the other day and booked straight
onto the next day’s spin class. I’ve got four weeks to
give it a real shot before we go away and I’m
determined to shed at least half a stone – that seems
achievable, right? I hope so anyway. To motivate
myself, I bought a new pair of trainers from Office;
I figured if I feel good in what I wear, it’d make me
go more…? Okay maybe I’m just trying to convince
myself. In Dom’s words: “You don’t need any excuse
to shop, but you always find one!” Oops!
I even bought one of those cool new
juicers from John Lewis as I hear a healthy juice in
the morning can really give you a boost and with
these kids, I need it. Hopefully that combined with
my newfound motivation for the gym will help me
shed those pounds. I’m so excited to get away with
the family; I just really want to feel nice when we’re
there. Watch this space and hope for a 7lb loss!
