CHARITY LOCAL CHARITY, MISSION CARE, OPENS THE UK’S FIRST FULL-TIME DEMENTIA FRIENDLY CAFÉ SADDLE UP FOR PILGRIMS HOSPICES' RAINBOW RIDE AND STRIDE 'Back by popular demand, Rainbow Ride and Stride will return for its second year on 22nd March 2015. Pilgrims Hospices is inviting people to sign up and embark on a springtime cycle ride, dog walk, or ramble along the scenic Great Stour Way from the Pilgrims Hospices' site in Canterbury to Chartham Village Hall, and back again. The route – starting at 10.30am – is a total of eight miles long, however people are encouraged to take part in as little or as much of the course as they would like. What's more, go all out and decorate yourself, your dog, your bike, scooter, or even pushchair in your brightest rainbow colours, as there will be prizes given for the best fancy dress. Refreshments and cake will be served at Chartham – and remember to put your handprint on the wall to show you’ve finished! This is a rainbow-infused event for everyone including families, friends, children, and dogs. Tickets cost £5 per person in advance, and £7 on the day.
