EVENTS
Feast Festival of Food, Drink and
Entertainment will be making its way to
Mote Park, Maidstone, over the August bank
holiday weekend. From 23rd-24th August,
visitors can join in the festive fun at The Burp and
Slurp Village of Beer, Ale and Cider; watch Master
Chef 2013 winner, Natalie Coleman - amongst
other celebrity favourites - cooking live in the
chefs' theatre; indulge in a whole host of local,
national and international culinary delights in the
Foods of the World Village and much more.
However, that is not all on the food front;
there will also be food and drink markets, local
pop-up restaurants serving up their signature
dishes, and Champagne and cocktail bars,
complete with tutorials. Meanwhile, away from
the glorious food offerings, a full family fun fair will
take pride of place, along with a live entertainment
programme featuring live bands, magicians,
dancers and more across the weekend.
Discussing the upcoming feast-fuelled
festival, organiser, Luke Bendall, said: "Having
been to many food markets and several food and
drink festivals over the years, my family and I have
always walked in and out in under two hours; as
while the food was great, the entertainment and
fun factor was not. That is why we have decided
to put on an event that really is a full, fun, family
day out, complete with the best in food, drink
and entertainment."
Half price adult tickets are now on sale
priced at £6, while children under 12 go free.
