KATHARINE MORLING IS AN AWARD-WINNING ARTIST WORKING IN THE
MEDIUM OF CERAMICS. SHE SET UP HER LONDON-BASED STUDIO, THE
COCKPIT ARMS, IN 2003 AFTER GRADUATING FROM THE ROYAL COLLEGE
OF ART, AND HAS SINCE GAINED INTERNATIONAL ACCLAIM FOR HER WORK.
Katharine was born and raised in Tunbridge Wells,
Kent. Represented by the Long & Ryle Gallery,
London, and Balman Gallery in Corbridge, her
work is very much at the fine art, high-end of
ceramics and is exhibited and collected by art
enthusiasts, experts and celebrities internationally.
Katharine describes her work as threedimensional drawings in the medium of ceramics.
She starts each piece by "mentally downloading"
thoughts, ideas and themes into sketchbooks –
these can number hundreds. Like her ceramic
work, the drawings are also in black and white.
