BRAUND & FEDRICK
The law firm Braund & Fedrick has been providing a
professional service to its personal and business clients in
South East London and North West Kent since it opened its
doors in Woolwich in 1901.

The firm’s founder, Mr Braund, was a mildly
eccentric gentleman, who always wore a top hat
and frock coat during working hours, and carried
a silver-tipped cane. He was known colloquially
as “the squeak of Woolwich” on account of his
high-pitched voice and diminutive stature.
Mr Braund was nevertheless widely respected
as a learned and skilful lawyer, and soon built up
a successful practice. Upon his retirement in the
1930s, the business was acquired by Norman
Fedrick, an ambitious young solicitor, who had
previously practised in Central London.
Mr Fedrick continued to expand the practice,
and the Sidcup branch of the firm was opened
during the 1950s. The current office is located
at 13 Market Parade in the High Street, and offers
a wide range of legal services to clients, whether
they are individuals or businesses.
The services offered include commercial
and domestic conveyancing, debt collection,
landlord and tenant disputes, civil and commercial

litigation, the
preparation of wills,
and the
administration and
winding up of the
estates of
deceased persons,
commonly known
as probate.
Other areas of
expertise include
family and
matrimonial,
advising elderly clients, personal injury and medical
negligence claims and employment law. Although
the firm seeks to uphold the time-honoured and
traditional values instilled by its founders, the
solicitors and support staff have embraced new
technology and modern working methods, and
try hard to build an enduring relationship with
clients.
