This July sees the launch of JAM on the Marsh, a vibrant annual arts festival
on Kent’s glorious Romney Marsh. With music at its core, the festival will
include photography,
art, family events,
literature and theatre,
in a bid to marry
outstanding local
artists with
excellence from
across the UK.
Running from Hythe
to Dungeness, it will
also be working in
collaboration with
local organisations
such as RSPB, Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway (RH&DR), IMOS
Foundation, the Marsh Academy, the Mercure Hythe Imperial hotel and the
Romney Marsh churches. From a sumptuous opera dinner and concert to
trips on the RH&DR and primary school performances, there is something
for everyone.

The inaugural SEEART Fair in
Tunbridge Wells will feature
galleries from London and the
South East, with local artists and
organisers, Guy Portelli and Mark
Paul Perry hoping to create a
popular annual event in the years
to come. Comprising p ainting,
sculpture and photography, this
project involves both the
community and local businesses
in the education and awareness
of the arts, and includes main
sponsors, Gilbert Green of
Thomson Snell and Passmore. In

as a charity fundraiser for chYpS, SEEART's main charity.

The Maritime Museum at Ramsgate's Regency Clock House building in the
middle of the Royal harbour has opened its doors for a very special evening
event, in order to raise money for its regeneration. The pop-up supper club
will be offering
guests a rare
opportunity to
snoop around the
intriguing collection
at dusk and then
feast on a specially
designed menu of
burgers and
Bordeaux. The
events are part of a
series of new things
taking place at the
museum in order to
appeal to wider audience, and bring more people to the beautiful town.
Additional dates post-July include 8th and 22nd August, plus 5th and 19th
September.

farming, countryside and

organisation, Nucleus
Arts, likes to celebrate its
cultural and creative roots
with an ArtsFest in
Chatham. Hosted for the
whole community, this
year, Nucleus Arts is
holding four festivals, with
the third on 12th July.
ArtsFest3 will tie in with the River Festival, and showcase open studios, a
main stage, art workshops, artisan/art markets, face painting, pamper
sessions and much more. The superb Café Nucleus, as always, will provide
refreshments.
