Josh Doyle
// 28 April
Kent-born, British singersongwriter Josh Doyle will be
returning to his hometown of
Ashford this April to perform
a date on his intimate UK
acoustic tour. Following his
international success stateside
– not to mention his
Glastonbury debut in 2013 and
a list of other fabulous
achievements – Doyle has opted to return to the UK to play a series of
homecoming gigs at the request of his fans. And what's more, he is certainly
happy about the prospect: “After a few years strictly in the unsigned,
independent world, I recently had a musical resurgence, getting to play
Glastonbury 2013 with the Rolling Stones and Hard Rock Calling with Bruce
Springsteen, among other opportunities. It was great, but I wanted to come
back with the slightly bigger fan base and go back to my roots to play some
smaller gigs all over the country – I felt like I had missed a few steps in
building my music career back up.
"This tour is about packing small rooms and playing songs acoustically,
having a laugh and leaving everyone with a smile on their face, like they’ve
been a part of something special."
7pm. Price: £7 in advance from www.facebook.com/joshdoylemusic
