NEW BRAND GARDEN OF ENGLAND GOES GLOBAL
Speciality food brand, Garden of England, was
only launched last September but already the
Kent-based producer has spread its wings
internationally and showcased the brand at
Gulfood – the world’s largest foodservice,
hospitality and retail event, held annually at the
Dubai World Trade Centre.
While Garden of England is fast becoming well
established in the UK, with listings in key retailers
and with leading food distributors, it is the gr wing
o
international demand for British foods with
provenance that has prompted the company to
look at wider, global opportunities.
The Garden of England range, which comprises
sweet and savoury preserves, pickles, compotes
and condiments, successfully debuted their range
on the stands of two British food export
companies at the February event.
“Garden of England is starting to gain momentum
but it was always our intention for it not to become
exclusive to the UK. There is so much more
interest internationally for British produce and
provenance, and as the Garden of England range
is made using only UK-grown fruit and vegetables,
this seemed an opportune time for us to
investigate overseas opportunities,” explains Paul
Mendal, brand manager at Garden of England.
“Gulfood should provide us with the prospect of
meeting key buyers and distributors from carefully
selected markets so that Garden of England can
be enjoyed worldwide.”
