The Junior School
The Senior School
• St Lawrence College Junior School is for children
aged 4-11 years, but children can start full or
part-time from 3 years of age in the school’s
adjoining Nursery.
• At 360 pupils, the Senior School provides a warm
and supportive community that ensures individual
pupils receive the attention and care they require
to thrive and are given the self-confidence to
believe in and express themselves.
• An extended day from 8am until 5pm is available
free of charge to all Junior School pupils, together
with a variety of flexible options to assist busy
working parents, such as breakfast club, supper
club and occasional boarding.
• The school recognises that the 11+ Kent Test
is a priority for many families and therefore offers
thorough preparation. As well as opening the
door to grammar school, success in the Kent
Test guarantees a scholarship of at least 25%
to St Lawrence College Senior School for current
Year 6 pupils moving into Year 7.

• The majority of pupils in Years 7 to 9 are local
day children who benefit from having their horizons
broadened by friends from across the world as
more pupils join the school to study for GCSEs
and A Levels, leading to the best A Level results
in Thanet last year.
• The schools’ exceptional facilities enhance a rich,
varied and inclusive extra-curricular programme.
Whatever a child’s interest, the school provides
the opportunities to encourage and grow that
interest alongside traditional academic excellence.
