As part of the 450th anniversary celebrations of Christopher Marlowe's
birth, the Marlowe presents a modern interpretation of his chilling play, The
Massacre At Paris. And
this time, the atmospheric
settings of the Eastern
Crypt in Canterbury
Cathedral welcomes the
brutal spectacle. The play
is considered Marlowe’s
most dangerous work,
based around the St Bartholomew’s Day massacre which saw the systematic
murder and execution of thousands of Protestants.

This spring, the University of Kent in Canterbury will
play host to some of the UK’s most acclaimed
musicians as part of an exciting season of
lunchtime concerts, sponsored once more by
Furley Page Solicitors. And on 19th March, one
of the most versatile sitarists in the world, Jonathan
Mayer, will perform. Son of the late Indian
composer and Indo-Jazz Fusions founder John
Mayer, Jonathan has performed with a wide range
of artists, including Paul Weller, the BBC Concert
Orchestra and Noel Gallagher. Appearing
alongside Jonathan will be Mitel P urohit, one of
the most sought-after tabla players in the UK.
The concert will be followed by a workshop which
may be observed by the audience.

Revelation St Mary’s welcomes Robin Grey and friends to present an
incredible evening of stories, song, sustenance and struggle as we delve
into the history of the land beneath your feet. Join us to explore the often
forgotten past of enclosure, privatisation and dispossession of land-based
communities, and hear the vibrant histories that emerged when people rose
up and confronted the loss of their lands, cultures and ways of life. Inspired
by the timeless work of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, Robin colours in
his 'nu-folk' songs with guitar, banjo, ukulele, mandolin, piano, double bass
and organ.
