The Official UK No.1 Tribute Show, 40 years on the music of Jeff Lynne and the Electric Light Orchestra is still regularly played and enjoyed on radio stations across the world. And this time, the atmospheric settings of the Eastern Crypt in Canterbury Cathedral welcomes the brutal spectacle. The play is considered Marlowe’s most dangerous work, based around the St Bartholomew’s Day massacre which saw the systematic murder and execution of thousands of Protestants. 18 March, 8pm. 19 March, 2pm & 8pm. And on 19th March, one of the most versatile sitarists in the world, Jonathan Mayer, will perform. Son of the late Indian composer and Indo-Jazz Fusions founder John Mayer, Jonathan has performed with a wide range of artists, including Paul Weller, the BBC Concert Orchestra and Noel Gallagher. Appearing alongside Jonathan will be Mitel P urohit, one of the most sought-after tabla players in the UK. The concert will be followed by a workshop which may be observed by the audience. 1.10pm.
