Get on the Juice
With the festive season over for another year, perhaps you may be looking to try a different type of bar
this January, maybe one with a certain fruit option that won't leave you quite so regretful the next day?
We're not talking about a slice of lemon in your gin, we are of course talking about the 100% freshsqueezed organic juices and smoothies that could only hail from the ever-popular juice bar. That's right,
we're kick starting 2014 with a trip to one of these Kent-based healthy hideouts.
Boost
Juice Bars
Whitstable Produce Store
After three happy years under the name
and address of 63 Harbour Street, last
December, Whitstable’s popular
independent juice bar relocated to 33
Harbour Street and adopted the new
name of Whitstable Produce Store.
Trading with almost three times the space,
the store continues to sell their prized
freshly pressed juices, pure fruit
smoothies, great coffee, fine teas, and of course, its best-selling Hot
Spiced Apple.
All the way from
down under, Boost
Juice Bars have been
taking the UK by
storm with its super
smoothies since it
Boost's UK
co-founder Dawn
burst onto the scene
O'Sullivan and
mascot
in 2007. Since then,
Barry the Boost Cup
founders Richard and
Dawn O’Sullivan
have been devoted to spreading the Boost vibe across the country, with
no sign of letting up soon.
Owner Steve says: “The move meant that we've
been able to bring local produce back to the
Harbour Street end of Whitstable. We’re very
pleased that our main supplier is Kevin
Richardson, formerly of Hedges Greengrocers.
It seems particularly appropriate that his stock
will be the mainstay of the Whitstable Produce
Store."
What's more, us Kent folk don't have to travel far for
our healthy awakening as in a bid to banish the winter
blues, Boost Juice Bars launched a brand spanking new
store in Bluewater shopping centre last November, and
has been enticing shoppers ever since.
Boost UK co-founder, Dawn O’Sullivan said: “The
demand for Boost in the UK just goes from strength
to strength. Whether you’re looking for a healthy and
refreshing pit stop between shops, or a booster to
supercharge your workout, Boost has something for
everyone!"
"We’ll be continuing to work with all of our current suppliers including Little
Stour Orchard, The Kentish Chocolate Company, The Kent and Sussex
Tea & Coffee Company and The Flour Arranger, as well as increasing our
range of local products."
