CHARITY SUPPORTERS OF MUSIC ON THE HILL HELPED RAISE £80,000 FOR LOCAL CHARITIES – GREAT MUSIC FOR A GREAT CAUSE Organisers of Music on The Hill 2013 are pleased to announce that donations totalling £80,000 have been made to Demelza Hospice Care for Children and Teens Unite Fighting Cancer as a result of this summer's event. Artists including McFly, Peter Andre, Jools Holland, Stooshe, Joe McElderry and Jay, Mike and Cheryl from Bucks Fizz were among those who performed at Kings Hill last month. 100% of the profits went to Demelza and Teens Unite in the event organised by the Children’s Development Trust. Karen Millen, OBE Founder of Teens Unite said, “Teens Unite were overwhelmed to hear what a phenomenal total was raised through this year’s Music on the Hill. It was a wonderful event to be a part of and a fantastic way for the charity to raise awareness in the Kent area, so the amazing donation on top really is the icing on the cake.” Liz Haigh-Reeve, director of income generation at Demelza said, “The children and families are still talking about what an exciting weekend they had at Music on the Hill and it has helped create some magical memories for the families of the life limited and life threatened children we help. We are thrilled to receive this wonderful donation.
