and although they may not be magicians, they know what makes a good show. Principles and Deceptions received five 5* and seven 4* reviews, so we've really managed to pull it out of the bag. It's one thing to be able to get a five star review but it's about being able to get consistently good reviews, with people of varying tastes. You have to make sure it's something people don't see every day so that it's beyond good. I feel now it's getting into that realm of being an excellent show and consistently excellent too. At the end of August, you will be embarking on your Principles and Deceptions tour. Are you looking forward to it? I've done preview tours before but what's exciting this time is that we have a show that has already had great reviews, and we're now taking it on the road for another 20 shows. It's nice to get a very polished product out on the road. You're a member of the Inner Magic Circle, whose motto translates to 'not apt to disclose secrets.' Do you find many people get riled when they can't work a trick out and you can't break the secret? One in ten people are like that. They get really obsessed and they don't like it if they're fooled. It's a weird one as some people look at a magic show like it is something they need to figure out, but really it's like a play that you're trying to get
