A quintessential English pub set in the picturesque Kentish Hamlet of Hernhill located just a few miles from the historic towns Faversham and Whitstable and the City of Canterbury .

Our style can be described as contemporary Kent and features incredible local lunchtime specials , a walkers ’ menu and Butcher & Trawler Boards to share .
Sunday lunches at The Red Lion are as popular as ever with the finest cuts of meat ( the highlight being the sirloin of beef ).
Whether it ’ s for a quiet family lunch , a birthday or a special occasion , our Crown Post Restaurant upstairs can hold up to 50 seated guests .
At the bar you will find a drink for whatever mood you ' re in . From our premium lagers , Peroni and Curious Brew , to our real ales ,
Master Brew , Harveys and A Local Guest . We work closely with our vintner to select wines to compliment our dishes from all over the world .
During the summer , if you ' re on your way to the beach or if its only a pitstop on your country walk be sure to come and make the most of our beer garden .
The pub is open all day ( lunch stops at 2.30pm ). We have a lovely garden , with a small entertainment area for younger guests , and welcome dogs . There are a few tables out the front that look across to the church and they are excellent suntraps .
