Charles Monck
Charles Monck is a recognised international science park expert , having been closely involved in their evolution in the UK and in overseas countries for the last 30 years . He played an active role in the setting up and early development of UKSPA . He led the first evaluation of UK science parks with Prof David Storey , which formed the basis of the book ‘ Science Parks and the Growth of High Technology Firms ’.
He is now engaged in a range of economic development consultancy projects in the UK and internationally including the development and evaluation of science parks , innovation centres and the commercialisation of research and is one of the reviewers for UKSPA ’ s Aspire Programme .
Steven Moss
Steven qualified as a Mechanical Engineer and joined the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority ( UKAEA ) spending the early years of his career as a Project Engineer and Project Manager .
He has been involved in strategic property-related planning and projects since 1990 , focussed on the development of UKAEA ’ s sites at Harwell , Culham and Winfrith . In 2008 , he successfully completed a major project to unlock the potential of the world-renowned Harwell campus with the formation of a new public / private partnership .
Steven worked as an independent consultant from 2009 to 2012 and during this time was also Project Director for Science Vale Oxford , a partnership to promote southern central Oxfordshire for enterprise and innovation in science . Steven is currently Head of Property for the UKAEA .
David Rowe
David Rowe was the Director of the University of Warwick Science Park from 1982 to 2011 . Under him the Park developed to become one of the leading initiatives of its type in Europe .
He led innovations in the development of satellite incubators and a wide range of business start-up and development programmes . David now consults internationally through Warwick Enterprise and is the principal author of the EU report : “ Setting up , managing and evaluating EU STPs ”
He has been conferred with the ‘ Queen ’ s Award for Enterprise Promotion – Lifetime Achievement ’ that is awarded to one person annually .
