The University of Southampton is one of the top 15 research-led universities in the UK and is most widely recognised for its expertise in areas such as electronics , software , aerospace , automotive , life sciences , information economy , nuclear , oil & gas , offshore wind , construction , big data , satellites , robotics , regenerative medicine , agriscience , advanced materials & nano technology and energy storage .
SETsquared at the University of Southampton has established itself as a vital support to the local high-tech community . Data security , software , electronics and telecoms feature prominently among the ventures supported by SETsquared in Southampton which is located at the University ’ s Science Park in Chilworth .
The centre in Southampton offers state-of-the-art incubation facilities including workstations , flexible meeting rooms , broadband connectivity and wireless LAN . There are 10 desks in open plan office space for companies at any stage up to around 3 people .

• A pool of experienced and very capable Mentors are attached to the centre with others available across the other four centres .
• A wide variety of events , workshops and seminars are organised for members as well as investment readiness programmes and introductions across multiple networks .
Affiliations , partnerships and networks Southampton has a number of affiliates including the London Stock Exchange , Innovate UK , UKTI and the Intellectual Property Office . The centre also forms part of several partnerships including the local city deal , Solent LEP and Enterprise M3 . In addition there are a series of events that members can take part in throughout the year around specific areas of interest . The portfolio of affiliates , partnerships and membership organisations ensure that members have opportunities to
develop their entrepreneurial culture and skills , whilst gaining support and advice over a broad range of subjects .
Transport connections to University of Southampton Science Park are excellent : situated one mile from the M3 , junction 14 , and close to the M27 on the northern edge of Southampton , the Park is a very convenient location to access the whole of southern England . In addition to excellent motorway access , the development is close to Southampton Parkway Station and Southampton International Airport with direct flights to over 50 destinations throughout the UK and Europe .
