SETP offers free parking provision and a communal visitor and goods reception services .
The Technology Park ’ s existing conference facilities will shortly be relocated to Prism House under the current refurbishment scheme . These new facilities can accommodate up to a maximum of 70No . persons and will offer a high Tec audio and visual facility equipment facility . These facilities are available on a hire basis to all Companies located within the Park and to interest from outside of the Park .
SETP benefits from a modern Information and Communication Technology infrastructure with the majority of occupiers located on the Park having access to these services . We are currently installing a new high speed internet ( Broadband ) connectivity and hosted VOIP telephony service .
Premises SETP has various multi-occupancy office / research buildings with fully serviced units ranging from 14sq . m . ( 150sq . ft .) to 465sq . m ( 5,000sq . ft .), all offering flexible Lease Terms . The multi-occupancy buildings owned by Scottish Enterprise are the James Watt Building ( planned demolition and major redevelopment earmarked for this particular building and Site ), the Nasmyth Building and the Brunel Building . In addition , the Technology Centre which is privately owned is a modern multioccupancy building with available space from 650sq . ft . These buildings benefit from an innovative structured cabling system , with each unit cabled individually to provide networking capabilities on a unit by unit basis as well as having the advantage of multiple units being linked together to provide a larger virtual network .
The Torus Building is a further multi-occupied sustainable development , which was complete late 2006 . The building has been given a BREEAM rating of ‘ very good ’ and benefits from a wind turbine which supplies power for the common parts of the building . The development secured a pre-let to existing tenant of the Park , Ecebs Limited and Hydro Contracting Limited , now occupying over 4,000 square feet .
More recent developments on the Park , consists of two buildings - Pegasus and Orion Building , of multi-occupied sustainable offices . These two buildings have been extremely successful in Letting and the Orion Building has recently passed into new ownership .
Future Aims
The Park has benefited from a healthy level of demand over recent years which highlighted the need for further developments . With the Park continuing to grow , the Management Team are already looking at the next development and are continually working on increasing the number of companies that are attracted to the Park each year .
The main aim for the future of SETP is to ensure it meets its full potential as an asset for Scotland , in relation to the growth and prosperity of the existing companies and to continue to attract new and expanding companies to the Technology Park . All of the services , facilities and assistance available to encourage growth , combined with the Park ’ s high levels of leading edge research and development , make this one of Scotland ’ s leading Science and Technology Parks .
