NexusUCD – Industry Partnership Centre Complementing NovaUCD , UCD has opened NexusUCD , the Industry Partnership Centre . At NexusUCD , high-quality modern office space , with short , medium or long term occupancy arrangements and associated services are available to established innovation-led companies who are collaborating , or wish to collaborate , with UCD ’ s world-class research base . At NexusUCD , which covers 5,250 sq . m ., over 100 offices , with flexible configurations and ranging in size from 11 sq . m . to 80 sq . m ., are available to client companies .
Client Companies Over 30 new ventures are currently based at NovaUCD including spin-out companies that are commercialising research undertaken at UCD and spin-in companies that have located at NovaUCD in order to interact more closely , ideally in R & D activities , with the University .
Impact Since 2003 , NovaUCD has provided business development support to over 290 companies and early-stage projects through the incubation services and support programmes provided at NovaUCD .
In the last 10 years over 125 companies have been direct clients of NovaUCD and availed of hot space , office or bio-incubation unit facilities . These supported companies have raised over € 90 million in equity funding to date , and have a current annual turnover of over € 70 million .
NovaUCD-supported companies currently contribute over € 30 million a year in Gross Value Added ( GVA ) to the Irish economy and over € 7 million GVA to the international economy . Between them these companies currently support over 1,250 jobs ( directly and indirectly ), in Ireland and internationally .
