Imperial Innovations runs a programme of seminars and events at the Incubator , designed specifically for entrepreneurs and inventors . These events are designed to inform businesses about the issues affecting start-up companies , generate discussion and debate around key subjects and to help establish new networks which will aid the growth of companies .

Situated at two campuses of Imperial College London , one of the highest ranked universities in the world , early-stage businesses are able to take advantage of being in close proximity to eminent scientists and experts in technology .
The Incubators central locations in London also offers easy access to customers , sources of finance and commercial partners . Incubation support is offered by Imperial Innovations , one of the UK ’ s top technology commercialisation , investment and incubation companies .

The Company ( an Imperial College London spin-out ) entered the Incubator in 2006 as a first base of operations and prior to 2014 had raised over £ 100 million pounds in investment .
In March 2014 Circassia Pharmaceuticals undertook an initial public offering ( IPO ) on the London Stock Exchange raising £ 200 Million pounds with a market cap of £ 581 Million pounds .
Nexeon : Nexeon has raised a total of £ 55m in funding to date , following a £ 40m round in August 2011 . The company has moved to premises in Oxford , where it operates a pilot scale production facility for its innovative lithium-ion batteries .
Midaz Lasers , a producer of high performance lasers , was acquired by Coherent in 2012 .
