IASP global conference
The International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation ’ s ( IASP ) 33rd annual World Conference will take place in Moscow , Russia , for the first time in September
The IASP conference brings together representatives of science parks , business incubators , universities and research centres from all over the world .
The event , which takes place on 19-22 September 2016 , will be held across three major venues in the Russian capital : Skolkovo Innovation Centre , World Trade Centre and Moscow State University .
The key theme of this year ’ s conference will be the ‘ Global Mind ', a worldwide consciousness shared by an increasing number of innovation communities . Delegates are invited to discover and share the experience of creating the right environment , facilities and services at science parks and areas of innovation that offer a unique way to think , connect and interact .

Official launch for MediCity Scotland
MediCity Scotland , a new medical technology incubator at the BioCity Group campus in Lanarkshire , has been officially launched .
With the emphasis of creating economic growth in the region , BioCity has converted one of its existing buildings to allow companies a choice of flexible and virtual office space , workshops and laboratories .
MediCity welcomed its first company OracleBio in January and is expected to enable the creation and growth of more than 50 new healthcare businesses over the next five years , creating more than 350 jobs as a result . The location also benefits from Enterprise Area Status .
MediCity is part of BioCity Group with locations in the East Midlands , the North West and Scotland .

The conference programme features a robotics festival and a two-day international start-up fair , where leading world technology parks will showcase their hi-tech projects . Delegates can also participate in a series of special events including a show at the Bolshoi Theatre , a sightseeing tour around Moscow , and the IASP Golf Cup at the luxurious golf courses of the Skolkovo Golf Club .
