It was the late 1970s or early 1980s when I got my first tattoo,
a pretty good sized scorpion on my shoulder by a guy called
Broadway Bob that looks like it was done with a 16 penny
nail. At that time, there weren’t as many tattoo shops around
like there are now, maybe five or six shops in a big city and
there was always some tattooer at the fair. After Bob was done
tattooing me, he just wiped off the fresh tattoo with alcohol, and
spread Vaseline over it and then covered it up with something.
