Tim Sköld is a multi-faceted musician, not only in the instruments he plays, but also in the various
types of genres he has performed, from glam rock to heavy metal. He has collaborated with
various musical groups, in addition to producing numerous heavy hitters. With his influences of
integrating industrial music into rock and metal, Sköld was ahead of his time.
Shortly after producing Marilyn Manson’s single, “Tainted Love,” Sköld officially joined the band as
the bassist. “Tainted Love,” arguably Manson’s biggest hit was featured in the soundtrack of Not
Another Teen Movie. In 2002, Manson and Sköld produced several tracks for the movie, Resident
Evil’s soundtrack. In addition to continuing to produce for Manson, he contributed largely to
various elements of sound, such as guitar, synthesizer bass, backup vocals, as well as creating
artwork.
Sköld’s first musical project, Kingpin was a glam metal band formed in the ‘80s in Sweden, where
he is originally from. It was an endeavor that set his dreams of being a touring musician on fire.
With a number 1 hit in Sweden entitled, “Shout It Out,” they hit the ground running, relocating to
Los Angeles. After transitioning to the U.S., Kingpin was reborn as Shotgun Messiah.
In his participation and collaboration of numerous other music groups, including Motionless in
White, Doctor Midnight & The Mercy Cult, and KMFDM, Sköld has contributed largely to the
revolution of rock, metal, and industrial music.
With experience under his studded belt and music still burning in his soul, Sköld has reinvented
himself as a musician and artist. The result? SKOLD, a resurrected presence of Sköld’s past,
present, and future. A whirlwind of darkness encapsulates the electronic beats of Tiffany Lowe
and industrial guitar of Sköld, backed up by Eli James’ rhythmic, heavy beats. A collective of pure
talent, SKOLD is back, bigger, better, and heavier than ever.
